Job summary

GMP Technologies is seeking an MIS Engineer to join our client’s growing team in Singapore. You will maintain and manage corporate IT infrastructure and support application assets across multiple office locations.

You will help ensure the IT environment is optimized, secure, and up-to-date with the latest technologies, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with the DevOps team with a potential transition into DevOps in the future.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain corporate IT hardware, including firewalls, network hardware, servers, NAS devices (Synology), Open VPN systems, desktops, and ISP connections.
• Install, configure, and manage operating systems, corporate applications, and system management tools.
• Ensure the corporate software portfolio and licenses are regularly updated and maintained.
• Maintain system reliability, security, and high availability for all IT infrastructure and assets.
• Manage IT asset inventory documentation and ensure timely renewal of licenses.
• Develop and maintain backup solutions and redundancy strategies.
• Identify opportunities to automate IT infrastructure processes (e.g., alerts, dashboards).
• Monitor production environments and collaborate with the DevOps team.
• Work closely with the DevOps team to support operations and potentially transition into a DevOps role in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

Tools and Systems:

• Cloud Platforms: Google Workspace, Microsoft Cloud for Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Collaboration and Project Management: Jira Suite, Trello Boards.
• Software Management: Adobe licensing and administration.
• Intranet Systems: Third-party Happeo platform.
• Domain Maintenance: GoDaddy.

Additional Information:

• Provide remote IT support to international offices alongside local IT teams at various sites.
• Manage the procurement of hardware and software and expand licenses as required.
• Offer hands-on technical support for PC and equipment issues.
