Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking a Calibration Technician to support hands-on calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment in a technical environment.

The role focuses on performing calibration, documenting results, and ensuring compliance with ISO standards and SOPs, while coordinating with suppliers for parts and repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• ITE or Diploma in science-related fields required.
• Strong interest in technical, laboratory or engineering work.
• Detail-oriented with good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to follow technical procedures and documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine calibration, adjustment and verification for laboratory equipment (balances, pipettes, spectrophotometers, chromatography systems).
• Carry out preventive maintenance, diagnose malfunctions and replace defective parts.
• Maintain calibration records, prepare reports and certificates, ensure ISO/SOP compliance.
• Investigate equipment issues and coordinate with external service providers for repairs when required.
• Monitor spare parts and inventory levels and assist with purchase orders for laboratory operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Instrument Calibration: Perform routine calibration, adjustment and performance verification for laboratory equipment such as balances, pipettes, spectrophotometers and chromatography systems.

• Maintenance & Repair: Carry out preventive maintenance, diagnose equipment malfunctions and replace defective parts where necessary.

• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate calibration records, prepare reports and certificates, and ensure compliance with ISO standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
