Tan Tock Seng Hospital seeks an administrative support specialist for the Microbiology laboratory. You will provide operational and administrative assistance, assist in specimen processing, LIS entries, and customer enquiries to ensure smooth lab workflow.

You will manage data, billing tasks, prepare reports, and help with quality assurance and regulatory compliance, contributing to timely, accurate patient care in a high-volume setting.

Formación

• Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prefer prior clerical/administrative experience in healthcare or laboratory setting.
• Proficient in computer applications and data entry.
• Good interpersonal, organisational, coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced laboratory environment and use PPE.
• Role involves moderate physical activity with walking, standing and handling supplies.
• Work schedule is 5.25 days with weekend/public holiday rosters; latest shift 10am–7pm.

Responsabilidades

• Sort and verify laboratory specimens and accompanying request forms.
• Perform order entry and specimen labelling in LIS.
• Assist in handling unsuitable specimens and document communications.
• Monitor outstanding laboratory requests and coordinate follow-up actions.
• Prepare and maintain laboratory records and documents.
• Generate reports and support disease notification processes.
• Provide administration support, memos and work instructions.
• Respond to telephone enquiries on test requests, turnaround times, billing.
