Job summary

Soitec is seeking a Metrology/Backend (MTBE) Equipment Senior Technician in Singapore to maintain, repair and troubleshoot semiconductor manufacturing equipment and the AMHS, ensuring high availability and efficiency.

You will diagnose equipment issues, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and collaborate with Production, Engineering and vendors to drive improvements, while following SOPs, safety rules and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot semiconductor manufacturing equipment and AMHS.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance with SOP and safety compliance.
• Support equipment engineers in tool improvement initiatives to reduce downtime.
• Participate in CIP, equipment upgrades, process improvements, and reliability projects.
• Learn quickly and work independently with minimal guidance while showing initiative.

Metrology/Backend (MTBE) Equipment Senior Technician

Job scope:

• Build valuable technical expertise in semiconductor manufacturing by diagnosing equipment failures, conducting root cause analysis, and driving corrective and preventive actions.

• Gain exposure to advanced automation and smart manufacturing technologies, including robotics, material handling systems, and automated production environments.

• Build strong communication and teamwork skills by collaborating with Production, Engineering, vendors, and fellow technicians to support factory operations and improvement initiatives

• Enhance time management and decision-making abilities by prioritizing maintenance activities, responding to equipment issues, and supporting production requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting semiconductor manufacturing equipment and the automated material handling system (AMHS) to ensure high equipment availability, reliability, and operational efficiency.

• You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities, maintain accurate records and documentation, and adhere to established standard operating procedures (SOP), quality standards, safety requirements, and housekeeping practices.

• You will support equipment engineers in tool improvement initiatives aimed at reducing downtime, improving performance, and enhancing cost efficiency while ensuring compliance with departmental guidelines and corporate policies.

• There will be opportunities to participate in continuous improvement projects (CIP), equipment upgrades, process improvements, and reliability enhancement projects.

• You must possess a high degree of adaptability and initiative, with the ability to learn quickly and be capable of working independently with minimal guidance, as the role may require periods of autonomous work, strong problem-solving skills, and self-discipline.
