Job summary
The Singapore Centre for 3D Printing (SC3DP) is seeking a Research Associate with a strong engineering background to advance an industry-collaborative project on metal additive manufacturing. This role focuses on advanced characterization, microstructural analysis, and mechanical property evaluation of 3D printed samples to support industrial translation of outcomes.

Qualifications
- Master's degree in Materials Science & Engineering or related field.
- Hands-on experience with SEM, EBSD, XRD and optical microscopy.
- Experience with mechanical testing equipment (tensile, fatigue, hardness).
- Understanding of structure-property relationships in metallic systems.
- Familiarity with materials used in additive manufacturing is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Characterize materials via SEM, EBSD, XRD and optical microscopy.
- Perform tensile, fatigue, hardness testing on printed components.
- Analyze data, visualize results, and report to industrial partners.
- Assess impact of post-processing on properties and identify defects.
