Job summary

The GMP Group is seeking an experienced MES Specialist to lead the deployment and upgrade of AspenTech MES to version 15, and to design, develop and implement new workflows for Smart Manufacturing. You will maintain MES configurations, prepare BPM/STSs, and provide global IT collaboration for IP.21, Batch.21 and EBRS, ensuring system stability and continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in AspenTech MES and EBRS workflow design and configuration.
• Understand end-to-end MES implementation lifecycle: design, configuration, testing and deployment.
• Able to create and maintain BPM, STS and functional design documents.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or CS.
• 1–5 years in manufacturing app support or related roles.
• Experience in improving manufacturing applications and cross-functional projects.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration in fast-paced environments.

Job description

• Lead the deployment and upgrade of AspenTech MES from versions 10/14 to version 15, including the design, development and implementation of new workflows to support Smart Manufacturing initiatives.

• Develop, implement and maintain MES configurations, system enhancements and data updates, ensuring alignment with manufacturing requirements and business processes.

• Prepare and maintain MES technical documentation, including Business Process Maps (BPM), System Technical Specifications (STS) and design documentation.

• Provide application support for AspenTech-based Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), including IP.21, Batch.21 and Electronic Batch Record Systems (EBRS), in collaboration with global IT teams and third-party vendors.

• Collaborate with external partners and stakeholders to ensure system stability, resolve application issues and implement timely corrective and preventive actions to minimize recurring incidents.

• Perform system testing, validation, deployment and performance monitoring to ensure reliable MES operations and compliance with manufacturing requirements.

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and drive MES enhancements to optimize manufacturing efficiency, reduce process bottlenecks and improve operational performance.

Qualifications

• Good understanding and hands-on experience in AspenTech MES and EBRS workflow design and configuration.

• Familiarity with the end-to-end MES implementation lifecycle, including solution design, design finalization, system configuration, testing, validation and deployment.

• Ability to develop and maintain technical and project documentation, including Business Process Maps (BPM), System Technical Specifications (STS) and functional design documents.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Computer Science or a related discipline.

• 1–5 years of experience in manufacturing application support, system consulting, application development or implementation.

• Experience in implementing, supporting or enhancing manufacturing applications, either independently or as part of a cross-functional project team.

• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical and business process challenges and translate them into effective solutions.

• Demonstrated track record of driving process improvements, enhancing system performance and delivering measurable business benefits.

• Strong ownership, adaptability and collaboration skills, with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
