JOB SUMMARY:
The Merchandiser supports Sourcing initiatives through reporting, data analysis, operational coordination and follow-through with overseas offices and cross-functional partners.
The role requires a hands-on individual who can independently manage recurring responsibilities, analyze information beyond basic data consolidation, support sourcing initiatives from execution through follow-up, and provide clear visibility of findings, issues and required actions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sourcing Initiatives
- Support assigned Sourcing initiatives.
- Support development and maintenance of SOPs, continuous improvement of reporting, trackers, working guidelines and processes.
- Research on product, market and competitors.
- Assist on category deep dive project
- Support new or evolving Sourcing initiatives based on business needs.
- Own and maintain established reports, trackers, follow-up logs, and working files accurately within required timelines.
- Follow up on missing information, exceptions and required actions to ensure timely closure. Maintain clear records of status, issues, decisions, and next steps for assigned workstreams.
- Consolidate, validate and review information received from overseas offices and cross-functional partners.
- Participate in relevant working sessions and calls and coordinate follow-ups with stakeholders.
- Coordinate with overseas offices and cross-functional partners on assigned initiatives and operational requirements.
- Provide timely acknowledgement and clear updates on open actions and progress.
- Maintain visibility of key discussions, issues and status with relevant stakeholders.
- Escalate blockers or issues requiring management support in a timely manner.
- Communicate clearly and professionally across different teams, markets, and levels of seniority.
Operational Support

- Analyze reporting results and identify exceptions, trends or areas requiring further investigation.
- Look beyond data compilation to understand key drivers and validate findings where required.
- Prepare clear summaries, observations and key callouts to support management review and business discussions.
- Maintain data accuracy and consistency across assigned reports and trackers.
JOB COMPETENCIES
Hard Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint, Words and Excel skills, including PivotTables and formulas; good understanding of data validation and reporting accuracy.
- Comfortable working with large datasets, trackers and recurring reports.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify exceptions, trends and areas requiring further investigation.
- Experience in sourcing, merchandising, supply chain or related operations preferred.
- Exposure to digital tools where appropriate to improve accuracy, productivity and quality output; AI-assisted work or reporting automation is an advantage.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Diploma or degree in Business and Supply Chain.
- 3-5 years relevant experience in sourcing, merchandising, supply chain operations, reporting or a related role.
- Experience coordinating with regional offices and cross-functional stakeholders is an advantage.
