Job summary

Bayes Recruitment Pte Ltd is seeking a seasoned cost estimator for MEP projects in Singapore. You will prepare detailed cost estimates, analyze project drawings to define scope, and perform quantity take-offs for materials and labour across MEP installations.

With at least five years of relevant experience, you will collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate quantity assessments and robust cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial, commercial or data-centre projects.
• Strong knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP projects
• Analyze and evaluate project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and associated costs
• Perform quantity take-offs for materials and labour required for MEP installations
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and comprehensive quantity assessments
• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle
• Monitor and report on cost variations, providing recommendations for cost-saving measures
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and participate in the procurement process
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids, ensuring competitiveness and adherence to project requirements
• Administer and manage contracts related to MEP works, including variations and claims
• Generate regular cost reports to keep stakeholders informed of project financial status
