Role Summary
The MTS is a senior technical contributor who drives wet process development through complex experimentation, material/chemical characterization, and integration fixing, while helping establish process technology roadmaps and delivering silicon‑based solutions for future memory needs. Acts as a key contributor expected to deliver measurable results and mentor early‑career engineers aligned to technical leadership expectations.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead project‑level initiatives focused on development of wet processes.
- Carry out complex experiments and support process integration under guidance of senior staff members.
- Facilitate technology transfer and assist in ramp‑up; maintain accurate records and prepare technical reports.
- Mentor early‑career staff; participate in multi‑functional problem solving; drive continuous improvement and optimization.
- Contribute to documentation of guidelines/SOPs and knowledge management; stay current on emerging technologies and wet processing advancements.
Other Responsibilities
- Mentor early‑career engineers and provide leadership aligned with senior technical expectations.
- Support continuous improvement and optimization of existing processes.
- Integrate AI assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
- Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.
Candidate Profile
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
- PhD ≥8 yrs, or Master’s ≥11 yrs, or Bachelor’s ≥13 yrs of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
- Deep understanding of vapor etch, wet strip, dry strip, selective chemical etching; experience fixing process issues and supporting transfer R&D → manufacturing.
Must-have Technical Skills
- Possess a deep understanding of the process technologies such as Vapor etch, wet strip, dry strip, selective chemical etching, etc.
- Familiarity with electrical evaluation methods and fab metrology tools (e.g., CD‑SEM, thickness measurement, particle counters).
- DOE / SPC and data analysis systems (e.g., Y3) to analyze experimental outcomes.
- Working knowledge of memory process flow (planar + vertical NAND context).
Must-have Soft Skills
- Cross‑functional collaboration, concise communication, and ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
Highly Preferable
- Strong record of technical contributions, publications, or patents in relevant domains.
