Job summary

BD is advancing healthcare through innovative medical technologies. We are seeking an enthusiastic R&D Engineer to join our Product Development team on a 12-month fixed-term contract in Singapore.

You will gain hands-on experience in medical device development, working with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to bring concepts to commercialization. This role is suitable for fresh graduates or engineers with up to five years of experience who want exposure to regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with cross-functional teams.
• Passion for innovation and product development.
• Interest in medical device development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support new product development from concept to commercialization.
• Translate requirements into practical engineering solutions.
• Design, plan, and execute experiments to evaluate performance.
• Analyze technical data and present findings.
• Maintain product and engineering documentation, DHF and specifications.
• Contribute to design verification, risk assessments, and validation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing on molding, assembly, packaging, and sterilization.
• Apply DFM and Design-to-Cost principles to optimize performance and cost.
• Travel occasionally as required.
