Job summary

KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Singapore seeks a knowledgeable IT & data analytics professional to support the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. You will help maintain and upgrade Laboratory Information Systems and collaborate with IHIS teams to ensure smooth operations.

You will lead training, policy development, and IT procurement, while applying analytics to improve lab processes. Excellent communication and a proactive, press‑tolerant mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory technology or related discipline.
• Additional IT certifications or postgraduate qualifications welcomed.
• Experience in a medical laboratory setting and in line management/healthcare project management advantageous.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in office automation systems and hospital IT systems (SAP, LIS, CP ordering platform, EMR).
• Self-motivated with the ability to develop creative IT solutions for complex challenges.

Responsibilities

• Development of operating standards, policies, and procedures for end‑users and end-user training.
• Critical review and timely recommendations of medical lab process redesign where necessary.
• Support and administration of the LIS.
• Purchase of IT hardware and software.
• Identification of IT needs including data storage, instrument interface and connectivity.
• Participation in hospital or cluster‑level projects and systems upgrades.
• First level troubleshooting of IT problems including after‑hours emergencies.
• Assisting the department in data analytics for medical laboratory improvements.

Job description

The successful candidate will provide critical Information Technology (IT) & data analytics support in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine in KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. He/she will be part of the Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) team responsible for the smooth functioning and continual improvements and upgrades of the IT and related systems. The successful candidate will also work closely with partners in the Integrated Hospital Information Systems (IHIS).

Responsibilities:

• Development of operating standards, policies, and procedures for end‑users and end‑user training

Job Requirements:
