Job summary

PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is recruiting Medical Lab Technologists for a public healthcare client in Singapore.

You will handle patient registration, specimen reception, and perform laboratory analyses such as urine microscopy, full blood count, and HbA1c, with phlebotomy and point‑of‑care testing. Responsibilities include reporting timely results, daily QC, and maintaining traceable records; you will assist patient queries and follow safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Degree in Medical Laboratory/Biomedical Science or related field.
• Prior experience in clinical setting advantageous.
• Phlebotomy and heel prick sample collection experience advantageous.
• Fast-paced environment with good problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient registration, specimen reception, preparation and packing of specimens.
• Perform laboratory analysis (e.g. Urine microscopy, full blood count, HbA1c), operate and maintain instruments according to work instruction.
• Perform point-of-care testing, phlebotomy, ECG, and spirometry procedures.
• Responsible to verify and report accurate results in timely fashion; investigates and reports any anomalies.
• Responsible for performing daily quality control check and troubleshoot as required.
• Ensure proper documentation and records for traceability (e.g. acknowledgement on QC and maintenance checklist after completion).
• Assist to resolve patient's queries and elevate to centre-IC when necessary.
• Adhere to work safety guidelines and infection control protocols to ensure staff and patient safety.
