Job summary

PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is looking to hire Medical Lab Technologists for a public healthcare client in Singapore to join a growing team.

Responsibilities include specimen handling, lab analyses (Urine microscopy, CBC, HbA1c), and point-of-care testing. You will verify results, perform QC, and maintain proper documentation while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory/Biomedical Science or related field.
• Experience in clinical setting is advantageous.
• Experience in phlebotomy and heel prick sample collection is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Register patients, receive specimens, and prepare/pack specimens.
• Perform laboratory analyses (e.g., Urine microscopy, CBC, HbA1c) and operate instruments.
• Conduct point-of-care tests including phlebotomy, ECG, and spirometry as required.
• Verify and report accurate results promptly; investigate anomalies.
• Carry out daily QC checks and troubleshoot as needed.
• Document records for traceability (QC and maintenance checklists).
• Assist to resolve patient queries and escalate when necessary.
• Follow safety and infection control protocols to ensure safety.

Our esteemed public healthcare client is seeking to hire a few Medical Lab Technologists to join their growing team!

• 5.5 days office hours

Responsibilities:

• Perform patient registration, specimen reception, preparation and packing of specimens.
• Perform laboratory analysis (e.g. Urine microscopy, full blood count, HbA1c), operate and maintain instruments according to work instruction.
• Perform point-of-care testing, phlebotomy, ECG, and spirometry procedures.
• Responsible to verify and report accurate results in timely fashion; investigates and reports any anomalies.
• Responsible for performing daily quality control check and troubleshoot as required.
• Ensure proper documentation and records for traceability (e.g. acknowledgement on QC and maintenance checklist after completion).
• Assist to resolve patient’s queries and elevate to centre-IC when necessary.
• Adhere to work safety guidelines and infection control protocols to ensure staff and patient safety.

Requirements:

• Degree in Medical Laboratory/Biomedical Science or related fields.
• Prior experience working in clinical setting is advantageous.
• Experience in phlebotomy and heel prick sample collection will be advantageous.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and with good problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint will be advantageous
