Job summary

Rapsodo, a leading sports technology innovator, is building a high-speed sports robot and its validation system. You will model mechanisms, predict behavior, and compare predictions with measured data.

You’ll work with a mixed engineering team across mechanical, hardware, firmware, and software, doing hands-on, on-site lab work rather than desk-only tasks. You will gain exposure to test automation, data logging, and validation campaigns while contributing to real, unsolved mechanical problems

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed BS/MS in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Robotics Engineering (or equivalent).
• Able to work full-time in Singapore for at least 6 months.
• Strong grounding in dynamics, mechanism kinematics, and vibration fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with at least one simulation tool and willingness to go deep on it.
• CAD proficiency with SolidWorks / Fusion 360 / NX.
• Comfortable with lab instrumentation and data acquisition and wiring sensors.
• Able to collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software engineers.

Responsibilities

• Build multibody dynamics models of the robot; extract joint loads, torques, and CG behavior across motion.
• Analyze dynamic balancing concepts and quantify cancellation of reactions.
• Run structural and modal FEA to identify stiffness limits and resonances.
• Correlate models with measured data; validate simulations against experiments.
• Help build validation tools, test fixtures, and data logging setups.
