Job description

Born from a founder’s relentless pursuit to understand performance at a deeper, measurable level, Rapsodo has evolved into a global sports technology company headquartered in Singapore, with teams across the USA, Turkey, Japan, and Malaysia.

We build tightly integrated systems across hardware, computer vision, physics-based modelling, and cloud software to capture and quantify motion that was previously impossible to measure outside the lab. Our products operate in real-world conditions where accuracy, latency, and reliability matter — powering athletes, coaches, and teams worldwide with data they can trust.

At Rapsodo, engineers own problems end-to-end. From edge devices to intelligent software pipelines, we design, build, and scale production systems that bring pro-grade performance analytics onto fields, courts, and training environments everywhere. The work is hands‑on, multidisciplinary, and grounded in real physical outcomes — turning complex motion into precise, actionable insight at global scale.

We are looking for a hands‑on, versatile Mechanical Engineer who thrives in ambiguity, takes ownership, and enjoys solving complex problems across the full product lifecycle. You will play a key role in bringing new products to life and elevating existing ones, working at the intersection of design, performance and manufacturability.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and engineer robust, production-ready products optimized for manufacturability, assembly, and performance.
  • Turn ideas into reality – translate customer and market needs into clear engineering specifications and innovative solutions.
  • Own the outcome – anticipate risks, make informed trade‑offs, and build resilient backup plans to keep projects moving forward.
  • Validate what you build – test, iterate and refine designs to meet high standards across functionality, reliability, and compliance.
  • Contribute to maintaining and improving system quality across the entire product lifecycle.
  • Work closely with cross‑functional and global teams to solve real‑world challenges.
  • Participate in design studies (independently and in teams) to solve technical or consumer issues found in the development of a product.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or related field of study. Relevant master's degree is added advantage.
  • Demonstrated interest and solid portfolio of case parts and/or mechanism design. Preferred experience in consumer electronics type products.
  • An understanding of injection moulding, die casting and common manufacturing techniques and finishes.
  • A creative and considered approach to problem‑solving, following clear design processes with a pragmatic approach to balance cost and value.
  • Strong aptitude for problem‑solving and ability to organise and prioritize work.
  • A resourceful, adaptable, and proactive team player.
  • Experience to verify performance through empirical testing as well as analytical models.
Why Join Rapsodo?

We are a global leader in sports vision technology, powered by a team that believes in failing fast, learning faster, and winning as a team. At Rapsodo, you'll thrive in a culture driven by customer focus, achieving more with less, and redefining what's possible. If you are eager to work independently while contributing to a dynamic, innovative, and passionate team, we encourage you to submit your application.
