Job summary

Avetics Global invites applications for a Mechatronics Engineering Intern to join our Robotics Department. You will assist in designing mechanical parts and electrical circuits for drone systems, using CAD tools and refining drone components alongside senior engineers.

You will also help assemble prototypes, conduct tests, document results, and collaborate with software teammates to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and basic understanding of electronic design or schematics.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical principles, electrical circuits, and materials science.
• Experience with soldering (THT/SMD) and basic lab tools like oscilloscopes and power supplies.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward learning.
• Ability to work independently and in a multitasking team.

Responsibilities

• Integrated Design: Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and electrical circuits for drone systems, including CAD modeling and power distribution.
• System Refinement: Work with senior engineers to develop and refine drone electronics and mechanical assemblies, including motor controllers and communication systems.
• Prototype Assembly: Support the assembly and integration of electrical components into mechanical drone prototypes.
• Testing & Validation: Conduct experiments and use lab tools to troubleshoot mechanical or electrical faults.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with mechanical engineers and software developers for integrated drone design.
• Documentation: Contribute to reports, drawings, and technical documentation to support drone technology improvements.
• Research & Support: Assist in researching new technologies and providing recommendations to resolve technical issues for customers.
