Job summary

TSTAR RECRUIT PTE. LTD. is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer in Singapore to drive automation and DX initiatives. The role focuses on PLC ladder programming, Python-based software development, and integration of new and existing automation systems.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, ensure QA/ISO compliance, and support continuous improvement efforts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in automation, PLC programming, or software development.
• Proficient in PLC Ladder programming and Python; basic SQL, Pandas and NumPy knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain equipment control programs using PLC Ladder programming.
• Design and develop PC-based and internal web-based software applications using Python.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing software and automation programs to improve system performance.
• Perform equipment integration, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure reliable machine operation.
• Support and lead factory automation, digital transformation (DX), and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize automation processes and improve production efficiency.
• Ensure all activities comply with QA/QC standards, ISO requirements, company policies, and applicable engineering practices.
• Perform other duties and projects assigned by the reporting manager.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Proficient in PLC Ladder programming and high-level programming languages, particularly Python.
• Basic knowledge of SQL, Pandas, and NumPy.
• Familiarity with OpenCV, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning frameworks (e.g., CNN, YOLO) is an advantage.
• Experience with Vision Systems and industrial lighting applications is preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Positive attitude, self-motivated, and eager to learn new technologies.

• Salary:Up to SGD 4,800 +AWS+VB (1-2 Months)

• Working Hours:5 Days Work, Mon-Fri: 8:15am - 5:30pm
