Job summary

PERSOL Singapore seeks a Mechanical Development Engineer to lead the design and documentation of innovative mechanical and mechatronic components throughout the product development lifecycle.

You will develop, prototype, validate, and optimize designs for manufacturability, collaborate across teams, and support tooling and industrialization to bring robust medical device-oriented solutions to market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or product design.
• Experience in mechanical product development and design.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD and preparing manufacturing documentation.
• Mechatronics product development experience is advantageous.
• Background in medical device development is a plus.
• Strong mechanical understanding and hands-on prototype testing.
• Familiarity with manufacturing and assembly processes with a quality mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical and mechatronic components and assemblies with detailed 3D CAD models and drawings.
• Prepare, assemble, modify, and evaluate prototypes during builds.
• Collaborate to ensure designs are manufacturable and assembly-friendly (DFM).
• Plan and execute mechanical verification activities and document results.
• Participate in design reviews and implement necessary design modifications.
• Assist in tooling and industrialization, transitioning data to manufacturing.
• Liaise with customers and cross-functional teams to discuss mechanical requirements and designs.
