Job summary

NTS Components Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician (Cleanroom) to perform precision mechanical assembly of semiconductor equipment modules in a cleanroom environment.

You will follow engineering drawings, BOMs, SOPs, and customer work instructions; conduct in-process quality checks; and maintain strict cleanroom and EHS compliance while ensuring traceability of production records.

Qualifications

• Higher Nitec / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Fitting, Tool & Die, or equivalent.
• 2–6 years of hands-on experience in precision mechanical assembly.
• Prior experience in semiconductor, electronics, medical devices, or high-precision contract manufacturing preferred.
• Exposure to cleanroom manufacturing environments is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assemble precision mechanical components, frames, panels, and sub-modules as per engineering drawings, BOMs, SOPs, and customer work instructions.
• Perform alignment, fastening, torquing, levelling, and adjustment of mechanical assemblies to tight tolerances.
• Use calibrated hand tools, torque wrenches, fixtures, and gauges.
• Support module integration activities and pre-shipment preparation.
• Comply fully with cleanroom protocols (gowning, ESD control, FOD prevention, material handling).
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tools, fixtures, and components.
• Handle sensitive semiconductor parts to avoid particle, ESD, chemical, or mechanical damage.
• Execute in-process quality checks and basic functional verification.
• Ensure compliance with customer quality requirements, ISO 9001, and internal QMS procedures.
• Accurately complete production travellers (MRs), checklists, and traceability records.

About the role
