Job summary

Michael Page International Pte Ltd is recruiting a Technical Director, Mechanical for its Singapore practice. You will lead mechanical building services design on data centre and mission-critical projects, guiding teams, mentoring engineers and engaging senior clients to deliver reliable, energy-efficient solutions.

Responsibilities include overseeing the full design lifecycle, coordinating with electrical and other disciplines, and driving technical excellence while supporting business

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant mechanical building services design experience.
• Strong track record on data centre or mission-critical projects, with cooling systems.
• Solid understanding of data centre design principles: resilience, redundancy, energy efficiency.
• Proven leadership of large-scale, technically complex projects.
• Professional qualification (PE/CEng/CPEng) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall technical leadership for mechanical design across data centre and building services.
• Lead design of HVAC, chilled water systems, cooling infrastructure and related building services.
• Oversee design lifecycle from concept to commissioning coordination.
• Ensure solutions meet reliability, energy efficiency and regulatory standards.
• Act as senior technical advisor to clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical with electrical systems.
• Review designs, specs and submissions to maintain quality and compliance.
• Support proposals, tenders and client presentations.
• Mentor engineering teams and raise project delivery standards.
• Identify opportunities for innovative, sustainable, cost-effective engineering.
