Job summary

A leading company is seeking an M&E QA/QC Engineer to support the QA/QC Manager in overseeing ACMV and Electrical Controls works. The role involves regular inspections, quality control, and ensuring project compliance with standards. Ideal candidates will have a Polytechnic Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience, particularly in project quality documentation within the construction industry. Qualifications

M&E QA/QC Engineer will assist QA/QC Manager in the ACMV and Electrical Controls works.

Job Description

  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure works are in compliance with method statements (in accordance to BCA’s Good Industry Practice)
  • Ensure all the method statement used has obtained approval from the clients and consultants.
  • Perform site checks on the M&E works to ensure that project requirement is fully achieved and ready for inspections prior to project handover to owners.
  • Liaising with Client inspector/Authorized inspector to ensure.
  • Monitor the performance of subcontractor workers / vendors for all trades to resolve quality issues and ensure any defects are properly rectified
  • Execute quality control as per site specific materials and Works Quality Plan.
  • Ensure that all controlled documents are administered effectively.
  • Daily coordination of all site work activities for M&E installation.
  • Carry out verification of purchased products in vendor's premises as specified in contracts.
  • Ensure that all test equipment are properly calibrated.
  • Monitor undertaken corrective and preventive actions against non-conformities and its recurrence.
  • Assess feedback on the construction process and procedures
  • Arrange and liaise with BCA for CONQUAS assessments.
  • Follow-up all the required tests as per contract requirement.
  • Attend regular site meetings – QAQC, Site Coordination Meeting and Client Meeting.

Requirement :

  • At least a Polytechnic Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant QAQC experiences
  • Candidates should have a proven track record and hands-on project quality documentation in construction quality with excellent communication skills.
  • He / she must possess strong technical knowledge of mechanical (ie piping, ducting, ACMV) and electrical systems installation.
  • Substantial hands-on project quality documentation in construction sector.
  • Candidates may be assigned to project at Tuas area.
  • Willingness to work at Tuas with transportation pick up at designated MRT station.
