Job summary

YISHUN TOWING PTE LTD is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician to support the manufacture, assembly, installation, testing and maintenance of mechanical equipment and hydraulic systems.

You will work on tow bars, forks, hydraulic equipment and related components, reading drawings and specifications, performing inspections and preventive maintenance, and coordinating with production staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of hydraulic systems, mechanical assemblies and engineering components.
• Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a technical/production team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with fabrication, assembly and installation of tow bars, forks, hydraulic equipment and related components.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, technical specifications and equipment manuals.
• Assemble and fit mechanical components according to drawings and specs.
• Install, test and commission hydraulic systems and components.
• Conduct inspection and testing of completed mechanical and hydraulic assemblies.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults during assembly, testing and servicing.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair of mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
• Maintain records of production, inspection, testing and repair activities.
• Coordinate with production staff, engineers, suppliers and customers on technical matters.
