Job summary

ResMed is seeking a Mechanical Engineer within the Sleep Product Lifecycle Engineering (PLE) team to own mechanical engineering support for released Sleep Care devices and accessories throughout their lifecycle. The role focuses on sustaining products, maintaining quality and manufacturability, and driving improvements across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5+ years in mechanical engineering, preferably product sustaining or manufacturing support.
• Strong mechanical design fundamentals and high-volume manufacturing knowledge.
• Experience with engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications, BOMs and changes.
• Proficient in 3D CAD modelling (Creo/Pro/E or equivalent).
• Ability to analyze problems and make data-driven recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication; capable of cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support released Sleep Care products through their lifecycle.
• Lead or support product, supplier, material, and manufacturing changes.
• Investigate technical issues across product, manufacturing, supplier and field.
• Assess changes for impact on quality, reliability, manufacturability and compliance.
• Develop and maintain CAD drawings, BOMs, specifications, and documentation.
• Perform verification activities for sustaining changes.
• Support CAPA, non-conformance, and product improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
• Drive reliability, manufacturability, and cost improvements.
• Communicate technical recommendations clearly.
