Job summary

ResMed is seeking a Mechanical Engineer within the Sleep Product Lifecycle Engineering (PLE) team to own mechanical engineering for released Sleep Care devices and accessories. You will sustain products, drive changes, and collaborate with cross-regional teams to improve performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical design fundamentals and high-volume manufacturing knowledge.
  • Experience with drawings, CAD models, BOMs, and engineering changes.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD modelling (Creo/Pro/Engineer is preferred).
  • Ability to investigate issues using structured problem-solving methods.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support released Sleep Care products throughout their lifecycle.
  • Lead or support product, supplier, material, and manufacturing changes.
  • Investigate product, manufacturing, supplier, and field issues.
  • Assess engineering changes for impact to quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Develop and maintain CAD drawings, specifications, BOMs, and documentation.
  • Perform verification activities for sustaining changes.
  • Support CAPA, non-conformance, and product improvements.
  • Communicate technical recommendations clearly.
