Job summary

Sunland (S) Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design and supervise building services, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection. You will prepare drawings, ensure code compliance, and coordinate with electrical and architectural teams.

The role involves site supervision, coordination meetings, and documentation for handover, requiring strong problem-solving and communication skills and familiarity with CAD/Revit tools.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other building services systems.
• Familiar with M&E drawings, CAD, and design software (AutoCAD, Revit).
• Understanding of local M&E codes and international standards.
• Problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other building services.
• Prepare and review mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical submittals in accordance with project requirements and codes.
• Coordinate mechanical system layouts with electrical, structural, and architectural elements.
• Collaborate with consultants, architects, and other engineers to ensure coordinated M&E designs.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and vendors for material selection and technical clarifications.
• Attend site and coordination meetings with project stakeholders.
• Supervise and inspect mechanical works on-site to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with specifications.
• Monitor installation of HVAC, fire protection systems, plumbing/sanitary systems, and gas piping (if applicable).
• Ensure that all mechanical installations are carried out according to approved shop drawings and relevant standards.
• Assist in planning and execution of testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during testing and commissioning phases.
• Ensure proper documentation, including O&M manuals and as-built drawings for handover.
• Ensure all works comply with local authority regulations, codes of practice, and safety standards.
