Job summary

Micron Technology, an industry leader in memory and storage, seeks a Facilities Mechanical Engineer to lead on-site mechanical maintenance. You will drive continual improvement in system robustness and reliability, plan preventive and corrective maintenance for HVAC, exhaust, chillers, and cleanroom systems, and align with Facilities to achieve site and company goals.

You will document maintenance records, apply 8D/5 Why analysis as needed, and initiate energy savings and AI-enabled efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering or Science.
• Experience with mechanical systems such as HVAC and exhaust systems is advantageous.
• Ability to perform automation using MS Office suite, Excel VBA is a plus.
• Strong analytical, logical, and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communicator capable of collaborating across levels.
• Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for facilities mechanical systems (HVAC, exhaust, chillers, etc.).
• Respond to system issues and production interruptions affecting mechanical systems.
• Lead mechanical engineering projects including new construction, upgrades, and quality improvements.
• Perform capacity tracking and planning for mechanical systems.
• Enforce safety and SOPs with risk assessment and good housekeeping.
• Document maintenance records and equipment history.
• Identify and implement AI-enabled tools to improve tracking and efficiency.
