Job summary

Micron Semiconductor Asia Operations Pte. Ltd. seeks a facilities engineer to lead mechanical maintenance across HVAC, exhaust, scrubbers, and related systems on site.

You will drive reliability, safety, and efficiency while partnering with the Facilities organization to meet corporate goals. The role requires a design/engineering background in mechanical systems, sustainability awareness, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering or Science.
• Mechanical design/engineering background for HVAC and exhaust systems is advantageous.
• Sustainability knowledge (electricity, waste, water) is a plus.
• Automation ability using MS Office and Excel VBA is a plus.
• Strong analytical, logical, and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communicator and collaborative across levels.
• Experience in semiconductor industry is a plus; leadership is desirable.
• Basic AI literacy for research and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs for facilities mechanical systems (HVAC, exhaust, scrubbers, cooling water, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, compressed air, fire protection, cleanroom air).
• Respond to system issues and production interruptions affecting mechanical systems.
• Plan, design and lead mechanical engineering projects including new constructions, system upgrades and quality improvements.
• Perform capacity tracking and planning for mechanical systems.
• Enforce environmental, safety, health policy and SOPs with risk assessment and good housekeeping.
• Document maintenance work orders, equipment history and project tracking using software.
• Maintain maintenance records for fault history traceability.
• Use 8D and 5 WHY for troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Initiate and lead energy savings and sustainability projects.
• Manage procurement for facilities system equipment upkeep.
• Identify and enable smart technologies and AI for task improvements.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools into daily work while complying with standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing AI-enabled enhancements.
