Job summary

The LEGO Group in Singapore is looking for a skilled mechanical design engineer to design and develop existing LEGO bricks using Siemens NX Design Software. You will own form, fit and function, ensure compliance with design principles, and deliver manufacturable parts through injection moulding knowledge.

Collaboration and continuous improvement are core to the role. Minimum 3 years in plastic part design, strong English communication, and a proactive, team‑oriented mindset are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in plastic part design.
  • Proficient in Siemens NX Design Software.
  • Knowledge of plastic mould design, injection moulding, and tool making.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proactive team player with a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

Bring your technical expertise and collaborative approach to help shape the next generation of LEGO® bricks by continuously improving their quality, performance, and manufacturability.

Element Development Reorders (EDR) is within Existing Element Development (EED), under Element & Additive Engineering (E&AE), which is part of the Engineering & Quality (E&Q) organization - a key function within LEGO Operations.

The EDR Team is responsible for the design and development of state-of-the-art existing LEGO® bricks. As custodians of existing brick’s design, we ensure our products continue to meet evolving play, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements while maintaining the highest standards of design excellence. Through close collaboration with cross‑functional stakeholders, we deliver robust, manufacturable, and high‑quality solutions grounded in technical expertise, disciplined execution, and strong partnership. Beyond our core responsibilities, the team actively contributes to organizational quality, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives, helping to enhance both product performance and operational excellence.

Do you have what it takes?
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in plastic part design.
  • Proficient in Siemens NX Design Software.
  • Good understanding of plastic mould design, injection moulding processes, and tool making.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis and problem‑solving techniques.
  • Good collaboration, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a passion for learnings.
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
