Job summary

PEAK OCEAN PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to oversee FPSO mechanical scopes, ensuring technical integrity, schedule adherence, and cost efficiency across interfaces with contractors, shipyards, and clients.

You will manage hull, marine, topsides, and living quarters packages, align with project specs and class standards, and contribute to progress reporting and design reviews while upholding QHSSE standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience with FPSO/offshore projects.
• Proven track record with static and rotating equipment packages, material handling studies/equipment, and technical report writing.
• Proficiency in Navisworks, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
• Strong contractor/vendor management skills, interdisciplinary problem-solving ability, and clear cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Monitor engineering contractors and package vendors to ensure milestone adherence, budget control, and timely resolution of schedule deviations.
• Deliver the mechanical scope across hull, marine, topsides, living quarters (LQ), and integration packages in compliance with contract terms, project specifications, and class standards.
• Interface with client teams, shipyards, and interdisciplinary engineering leads (structural, piping, electrical, safety) to troubleshoot equipment clashes and technical challenges.
• Review and comment on contractor and vendor engineering deliverables; contribute to weekly/monthly progress reports, audits, and design reviews.
• Uphold workplace safety standards, report hazards and quality issues, and actively participate in continuous QHSSE improvement.

Role Overview
