Job summary

Elevate Offshore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, produce and test mechanical systems for its flagship underwater vehicle projects. The role involves hands-on fabrication, CAD modeling, and sea trials, reporting to the Mechanical Lead.

You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced start-up environment and contribute to documentation and testing procedures for quality control and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Proficient in SolidWorks and Autodesk CAD design software.
• Experience with design, fabrication and testing of mechanical components.
• Familiar with FEA simulation for structural integrity.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and fabrication of mechanical components, mechanisms and electronics housings in CAD.
• Assist with FEA Simulation on design components for structural integrity and stress failure assessment. Drafting of 2D drawings for fabrication and assembly.
• Assembly and testing of designed mechanical components in the workshop and testing in real world environments.
• Sail out to sea for testing and evaluation of completed mechanical designs.
• Gather user requirements.
• Establish and iterate on documentation and test procedures for mechanical quality control / regulatory compliance.

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer ( Permanent Role)

Start Date: Immediately

Your Role

As the Mechanical Intern, you will work on the design, production and testing of the mechanical systems that make up BeeX's flagship Hovering Autonomous Underwater Vehicle, and our upcoming vehicle design projects. You will report directly to the Mechanical Lead. Your daily schedule will include frequent interactions with a multi-disciplinary team and you need to be equally comfortable working at sea trials and a normal office desk.

To Assist Mechanical Team With

• Assist with design and fabrication of mechanical components, mechanisms and electronics housings in CAD
