Job summary

Randstad Singapore is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to define specifications for mechanical systems in semiconductor equipment. You will lead design and selection of components, perform tolerance analysis, and develop motion systems for automated machines.

The role requires hands-on experience in semiconductor equipment design, strong thermal simulation skills, and proficiency with 3D CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical / mechatronics engineering.
• 4+ years design experience in semiconductor equipment (AOI / Pick & Place / Machine Vision).
• Hands-on experience in mechanical engineering roles (min 3 years).
• Solid understanding of mechanical fundamentals, including tolerance analysis and motion control systems.
• Strong background in thermal simulation and analysis (FEA).

Requirements

• Proven experience in mechanical design, particularly involving automated machines.
• Strong background in thermal simulation and analysis, including finite element modeling (FEA)
• Preferably from advanced equipment sectors such as semiconductors, though candidates from other high-precision industries are welcome.
• Skilled in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks or similar platforms)
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in relevant mechanical engineering roles
• Solid understanding of mechanical fundamentals, including tolerance analysis and motion control systems
