Job summary

JTE Recruit Pte Ltd, on behalf of a Singapore manufacturing client, seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer with automation expertise. You will lead end-to-end automation projects, designing and deploying automated assembly equipment and fixtures.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering and 5+ years with NX, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD. Salary up to SGD 6,000 per month with AWS and VB, five-day week, based in Joo Koon.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering.
• At least 5 years in mechanical design and automation projects.
• Proficiency in NX, SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end automation projects from concept to production launch.
• Design, develop, qualify, and implement semi/fully automated assembly equipment, jigs, and fixtures.
• Draft and maintain detailed technical specifications, BOMs, and CAD models.
• Lead design evaluations and provide on-site engineering support during fabrication and assembly.
• Facilitate prototype development, validation protocols, and operator training.
• Collaborate with internal engineering and vendor teams for system integration and NPI readiness.
• Guide junior team members.

Job description

Our Client:

• Up to $6,000 per month, AWS, and VB

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end automation projects from concept to production launch, including designing, developing, qualifying, and implementing semi/fully automated assembly equipment, jigs, and fixtures.


• Direct the conceptualisation, mechanical design, and deployment of specialized fixtures, jigs, and automated assembly machinery.


• Draft and maintain detailed technical specification packages, including standard operating procedures, component BOMs, and 2D/3D CAD models.


• Lead design evaluations and provide on-site engineering expertise during equipment fabrication, assembly, and fine-tuning.


• Facilitate prototype development, execute equipment validation protocols, and conduct technical training for floor operators and production staff.


• Utilize test data and troubleshooting techniques to continuously optimize equipment uptime, output yield, and process quality.


• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal engineering and vendor teams to drive equipment vendor selection, system integration, and NPI readiness.


• Guide junior team members.

Requirements:

• Min Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.


• Min 5 years of experience in mechanical design and automation systems


• Strong knowledge in NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD
