Job summary

Recruit Now Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a design engineer with a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering to develop and improve product designs, and to create concepts with consideration for cost, materials and manufacturability using AutoCAD.

You will develop prototypes, analyze test results, monitor design costs, and maintain engineering documentation while collaborating with internal teams to ensure designs meet project and production requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline preferred.
• Must have AutoCAD experience.
• Relevant design engineering experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve product designs according to project requirements.
• Create and develop design concepts with consideration for functionality, cost, materials, and manufacturability.
• Prepare and modify engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop prototypes and conduct testing to evaluate design functionality and performance.
• Analyse test results and make necessary design improvements.
• Monitor and manage design and production-related costs.
• Prepare and maintain design documentation, specifications, test reports, and other technical documents.
• Maintain proper records of design development throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure designs meet project and production requirements.
