Job summary

ST Engineering in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer to generate mechanical and system designs for modification projects. You will ensure designs comply with aviation authority requirements and support airframe modification programs.

You will perform basic analyses, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and help present designs to customers and authorities. In addition, you will assist in prototyping, production activities, and technical publications as needed.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering.
• Experience with CAD software; CREO knowledge is beneficial.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Practical experience in airframe modification projects is an advantage.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Self-motivated team player able to work independently.

Job description

• To generate mechanical and system designs that are required for the projects
• To ensure modification designs are compliant with requirements from relevant aviation authorities
• To perform simple analysis to substantiate designs
• To interact closely with engineers from other disciplines to achieve an optimized design within the stipulated project schedule
• To deliver presentations to the customers and aviation authorities on modification designs as required
• To support aircraft prototyping and production activities
• To support technical publication activities

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Good Masters / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering
• Experience with CAD software. Knowledge of CREO, for 3D modeling and 2D drawings will be beneficial
• Proficient in Microsoft Words/ Excel/ PowerPoint
• Practical experience in supporting airframe modification projects and composite structures will be an added advantage
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• Must be a self-motivated team player who is able to work independently
