Job summary

ORION SYSTEMS INTEGRATION PTE. LTD. Singapore invites a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our automation and semiconductor equipment team.

You will assist senior engineers in designing mechanical structures and modules, and prepare drawings using CAD software. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics and at least two years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in semiconductor or automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Proficiency with CAD software required.
• Minimum 2 years of mechanical design experience, preferably in semiconductor or automation.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• English and Chinese language proficiency required.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Assist senior engineers to design mechanical structures and modules for various automation project and semiconductor equipment.
• Prepare, modify, and update engineering drawings using SolidWorks or other CAD software as new information becomes available.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to produce accurate drawings that meet technical specifications.
• Maintain proper engineering documentation, drawing revisions, and version control records.
• Provide engineering support during project execution and development stages.
• Liaise with customers to review technical specifications and design requirements.
• Troubleshoot design issues and ensure drawings comply with customer requirements and engineering standards.
• Perform other engineering-related tasks assigned by the engineering team.
• Support machine installation, testing, and commissioning when required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Proficiency with CAD Softwareis a must.
• At least 2 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the semiconductor equipment or automation industry.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Responsible, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese, with the ability to communicate effectively with regional counterparts and customers.
