Job summary

Sembcorp Industries Ltd. seeks a Mechanical Engineer to lead design and coordination of mechanical works for major projects in Singapore. You will check concepts through detailed designs and ensure compliance with local codes while guiding engineers and designers.

The role requires experience in construction management, design, and proficient use of BIM, CFD tools, and related software. You will liaise with multiple stakeholders to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, accredited by Singapore PE Board.
• Experience in both construction management and design.
• Conversant in engineering analysis software, BIM, CFD tools and related mechanical/fire software.
• Singaporean only due to the sensitive project nature.

Responsibilities

• Check and design mechanical works from concept to detailed design.
• Ensure compliance with local codes and authority requirements.
• Analyze and provide technical advice with stakeholders.
• Plan and manage project scope, budget, and schedules.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical works.
• Prepare tender documents and specifications.
• Design management and coordination with contractors and consultants.
• Mentor reporting engineers and designers.
• Ensure project completes on schedule and budget.
