Job summary

Our client, a medical devices manufacturing company, seeks a Mechanical & Debug Engineer for their East Singapore site to lead assembly, setup and debugging of automated machines. You will work with Project, Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure quality, on-time delivery and effective customer support.

The role requires hands-on mechanical assembly, pneumatics knowledge and travel when required. Diploma/ITE in mechanical or mechatronics is essential for candidacy.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ITE in Mechanical/Mechatronics required.
• At least 3 years in automation or machinery assembly.
• Hands-on mechanical assembly and troubleshooting experience.
• Familiarity with pneumatics and mechanical systems.
• Willing to travel overseas when required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, set up and debug automated machines per project requirements.
• Operate and test machine stations for performance and quality.
• Perform mechanical alignment and setup during debugging.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and recommend solutions.
• Collaborate with project, engineering and manufacturing teams to meet timelines.

Job description

Our client is one of the leading players in the medical devices manufacturing sector. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a Mechanical & Debug Engineer to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the East area.

Job Responsibilities

• Assemble, set up and debug automated machines and equipment according to project requirements.
• Operate and test machine stations to ensure proper functionality, performance and quality.
• Perform mechanical alignment, machine setup and troubleshooting during the debugging process.
• Identify mechanical issues, troubleshoot problems and recommend suitable solutions.
• Work closely with Project, Engineering and Manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues and meet project timelines.
• Monitor assigned tasks to ensure projects are completed within the required timeline, budget and quality standards.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning and troubleshooting at customer sites.
• Provide technical training to customers on mechanical hardware, pneumatics, machine setup, alignment, changeover and preventive maintenance.
• Prepare and maintain relevant manufacturing and technical documentation.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma or ITE in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in automation, machine building or machinery/equipment assembly.
• Hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, machine setup, alignment and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of mechanical systems and pneumatics.
• Experience with SolidWorks or Inventor will be an advantage.
• Willing to overseas travel for a business purpose when required.
