Job summary

RECRUITPEDIA PTE. LTD. is seeking an Automation Controls Engineer to join their team in Singapore. The role involves close collaboration with customers and cross-functional project teams to ensure smooth project execution and successful control-system development.

You will develop PLC solutions, work with C# or VB.NET programming, and support FAT/SAT activities while maintaining project timelines and budgets. Travel may be required for business purposes.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Engineering / Mechatronics / Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in control engineering.
• Hands-on experience with PLC programming would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of C# and/or VB.NET programming.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Willing to overseas travel for a business purpose when required.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with customers and cross-functional project teams, including Project, Process and Design Engineers, to ensure smooth project execution.
• Support the design and development of control systems and programming solutions in line with project requirements, timelines and budgets.
• Develop and customise PLC/programming solutions according to customer and project requirements.
• Coordinate with external suppliers and relevant stakeholders to support project activities.
• Modify control designs, technical documents and related specifications to meet project and industry standards.
• Monitor project progress and update task completion status accordingly.
• Participate in machine testing, validation, debugging and internal buy-off activities.
• Communicate with customers on technical matters and project requirements when required.
• Support Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) activities.
• Support other controls-related activities and project requirements as assigned.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
