Job summary

SINGAPORE KOREAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL LTD. in Singapore seeks a qualified Mathematics Teacher to instruct middle and high school students (Grades 7–12) and to develop curriculum-aligned materials.

You will design assessments, monitor progress, and provide feedback to support student achievement. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and can communicate effectively with students, including those learning English as a second language.

2. Job Summary

The Mathematics Teacher will teach mathematics to middle and high school students (Grades 7–12), prepare curriculum-aligned teaching materials, develop and administer assessments, and evaluate student progress to support students’ academic achievement and the school’s educational objectives.

3. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver mathematics lessons to middle and high school students (Grades 7–12) in accordance with the school’s curriculum objectives.
• Prepare and develop lesson plans, teaching materials, textbooks, and other instructional resources aligned with the school’s mathematics curriculum.
• Design, administer, and evaluate midterm examinations, final examinations, and performance-based assessments.
• Monitor and evaluate student learning progress and provide appropriate feedback to support academic improvement.
• Adapt teaching methods and instructional strategies to effectively support students who use English as a foreign language.
• Participate in subject meetings, curriculum development, and other academic programs as required.
• Perform other educational duties and responsibilities assigned by the school.

4. Required Qualifications and Competencies

• Only applicants with a bachelor’s degree or higher specifically in Mathematics are eligible to apply.
• Ability to teach mathematics to middle and high school students (Grades 7–12).
• Ability to communicate effectively and teach mathematics to students who use English as a foreign language.
• Ability to develop and implement mathematics lessons in accordance with the school curriculum.

5. Preferred Qualifications and Competencies

• Previous teaching experience at the secondary school level.
• Strong skills in developing instructional materials and managing student learning environments.
• Experience in assessment development and student progress evaluation.
• Singapore NIE certificate in mathematics. (considered preferential)

6. Contract and Compensation

Contract Period:
March 1, 2027 – February 29, 2028
* Renewable annually subject to performance evaluation and school needs.

Base Monthly Salary: SGD 4,000–4,500 (Negotiable based on qualifications and experience)

Monthly salary will be paid throughout the contract period, including school holidays.

7. Other Duties

The teacher is expected to participate in school activities, academic programs, meetings, student guidance, and other duties reasonably assigned by the school.
