Job summary

Math Vigilante Tuition Centre in Singapore is hiring a Full-Time Math Tutor to teach Primary Math (PSLE track), Secondary E-Math and A-Math across branches.

You will use MV's in-house curriculum, mark work, track progress, and communicate with parents. Fresh graduates with a local degree are welcome; training is provided, with weekday afternoons/evenings and some weekends as peak hours.

Qualifications

• Must hold a local university degree in a mathematical field.
• Strong results in math at A-Level H2 Math or equivalent.
• Familiarity with MOE syllabus and PSLE/N-Level/O-Level formats.

Responsibilities

• Teach small-group classes across primary and secondary levels at our branches.
• Deliver lessons using MV's in-house curriculum and worksheets, and contribute to improving them over time.
• Mark work promptly and give feedback that shows students how to present their working the way examiners expect.
• Track each student's progress, spot gaps early and close them before exams.
• Update parents on progress in a clear, professional way through the centre's official channels.
• Conduct makeup and relief classes when needed, and work closely with the rest of the teaching team.

Full-Time Math Tutor (Primary, Secondary E-Math & A-Math)

About Math Vigilante

Math Vigilante is a specialist math tuition centre with three branches in Singapore:

• Katong Shopping Centre

We teach math only, from upper primary through to O-Level Additional Mathematics. Classes are small, the curriculum is structured and built in-house, and tutors know every student by name. Our students come to us for PSLE, N-Level and O-Level results, and we take that seriously.

We are a lean, founder-led team. Decisions are made quickly, tutors are backed by solid systems and materials, and there is room to grow. Our current Head of Secondary Math was promoted from within the tutor team.

The role

You will teach across the full range of levels: Primary Math (PSLE track), Secondary E-Math, and Additional Mathematics. This is the core requirement of the role, not a nice-to-have. We are looking for someone who can take a P5 student through heuristics in the afternoon and a Sec 4 student through differentiation and trigonometric identities in the evening.

What we're looking for

• A local university degree
• Strong personal results in math (A-Level H2 Math or equivalent), and genuine comfort with the full O-Level A-Math syllabus
• Familiarity with the Singapore MOE syllabus and the PSLE, N-Level and O-Level exam formats
• Classroom or home tuition teaching experience is a strong plus.
• Fresh graduates with excellent academics and the right attitude are welcome to apply, and training is provided
• The ability to explain clearly. You can break down a hard idea for a 10-year-old and a 16-year-old equally well
• Reliable, organised and good with parents
• Availability on weekday afternoons/evenings and weekends, which are our peak teaching hours. The centre also runs lessons on selected public holidays to keep students on track
