Job summary

Micron Technology in Singapore seeks a Material Planning Engineer to manage spares and materials forecasting for Fab tools. You will forecast, build BOMs with R&D and process engineering, and coordinate with Procurement to maintain stock levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Python (Pandas), SQL, and/or Web App Development.
• Strong statistics and data analysis skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Good teamwork and multitasking ability.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Interest in the semiconductor industry and Micron.
• Ability to use AI-enabled tools for research, analysis and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BOM/planning models for assigned commodities or Fab areas.
• Forecast requirements and maintain forecast accuracy to avoid shortages.
• Determine actions for excursion control and process improvement.
• Coordinate projects across departments to improve forecast efficiency.
• Interface with R&D and process engineering to build BOMs and forecasting platforms.
• Coordinate material/parts shortage and expiry issues with stakeholders to minimize impact.
• Develop reporting and automation to improve process efficiency.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency and quality.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing AI-enabled enhancements.
