Job summary

Applied Materials South East Asia Pte Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented Materials Planner to forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers. You will contribute to outsourcing decisions via make-versus-buy analysis and coordinate demand signals through MRP to keep inventory exposure minimal.

• 4–7 years of experience in materials planning or supply chain.

About the role

Under direct supervision, this role forecasts and communicates engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers. The position involves providing input to outsourcing decisions through make versus buy analysis and coordinating demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers

• Perform make versus buy analysis to provide input to outsourcing decisions

• Coordinate demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure

• Manage and control master data in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, including creation and updates to Material Masters

• Perform UAT with GIS/SAP team on new functionality within ERP

• Participate in Materials Core Team and coordinate product development process deliverables with team members

• Support creation, releases, and updates to new project materials strategy

• Participate in commercialization materials plan and material change control process

• Assist in supplier price and delivery negotiations; under direct supervision may negotiate contracts as necessary

• Monitor supplier performance including delivery, quality, and cost

About you
