Job summary

Applied Materials South East Asia Pte Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented Materials Planner to forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers. You will contribute to outsourcing decisions via make-versus-buy analysis and coordinate demand signals through MRP to keep inventory exposure minimal.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience in materials planning or supply chain.
• Proficient in ERP, MRP, and SAP systems.
• Ability to effectively support planning and operational processes.
• Demonstrates understanding of business drivers and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Forecast and communicate requirements to suppliers.
• Perform make versus buy analysis to support outsourcing decisions.
• Coordinate demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure.
• Manage master data in ERP, including Material Masters.
• Perform UAT with GIS/SAP on ERP functionality.
• Collaborate with Materials Core Team on development deliverables.
• Support creation and updates to project materials strategy.
• Assist in supplier price and delivery negotiations; may assist in contracting.
• Monitor supplier performance including delivery, quality, and cost.
