Job summary

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials engineering solutions, is seeking a proactive professional in Singapore to coordinate supplier communications and material planning. The role involves forecasting, make-versus-buy analysis, and close collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.

You will work under direct supervision to ensure material availability, optimize lead times, and support cost targets while enabling project success across engineering and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Forecasts and communicates engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers.
• Performs make versus buy analysis to inform outsourcing decisions.
• Coordinates demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure.

Responsibilities

• Forecasts and communicates engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers.
• Participates in materials core team and coordinates project materials deliverables with buyers, planners, and production control.
• Supports creation, release, and updates to new project materials strategy.
• Participates in the material change control process; negotiates supplier price and delivery; may assist in contract negotiations.
• Develops supplier and commodity road maps with engineering; identifies long-lead parts and inspection requirements.
• Meets cost objectives and tracks KPI; monitors total landed costs.
