Responsibilities

• Lead and manage materials management, including procurement, supplier coordination, and inventory control.
• Develop and execute materials strategies to optimize supply continuity, cost efficiency, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
• Manage purchasing activities, including requisition review, PO issuance, order tracking, supplier communication, and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with Production Planning, Manufacturing, and Operations to ensure materials align with production schedules and customer requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize stock levels and turnover.
• Develop, evaluate, and maintain supplier relationships to ensure consistent performance in quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.
• Lead supplier performance reviews, improvement initiatives, and corrective action activities.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, lead times, and supply agreements to optimize value and manage risks.
• Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives, including supplier consolidation, alternative sourcing, process improvements, and value engineering.
• Manage supply risks and disruptions through proactive supplier engagement, contingency planning, and recovery actions.
• Support new product introductions by coordinating material readiness, supplier qualification, component availability, and procurement activities.
• Work with Engineering, Quality, Production, Planning, and Finance to support priorities and continuous improvement.
• Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, commodity movements, and supply chain risks to support strategic decisions.
• Establish and monitor KPIs, including supplier on-time delivery, inventory performance, cost savings, material availability, and supplier quality.
• Ensure all materials management activities comply with procedures, ethical sourcing, and regulatory requirements.

• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, lead times, and supply agreements to achieve optimal value while managing business risks.
