Job summary

A*STAR RESEARCH ENTITIES invites researchers to join a team dedicated to the characterization of advanced metallic and ceramic materials using state-of-the-art facilities in Singapore. You will design experiments, analyze microstructures, and contribute to high-impact publications and project milestones.

You will work closely with the Principal Investigator and multidisciplinary collaborators, mentoring junior researchers while maintaining rigorous safety and quality standards in the lab.

Qualifications

• Experience with comprehensive characterization of metallic and ceramic materials.
• Ability to design, plan and execute experiments to study microstructure, composition, and properties.
• Strong data analysis and ability to communicate results in reports and publications.

Responsibilities

• Characterize metallic and ceramic materials using SEM, XRD, XRF, OM, Spark OES and other techniques.
• Design and execute experiments to study microstructure, composition, and mechanical properties.
• Analyze data, prepare technical reports, publications, and presentations.
• Collaborate with PI, researchers, industry partners, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Contribute to development of new characterization methodologies and protocols.
• Prepare samples and maintain laboratory safety and best practices.
