Job summary

A*STAR - Agency for Science, Technology and Research in Singapore invites an AI Scientist – AI for Ceramic Materials to join the MARVEL / CERAMIT programme, an interdisciplinary effort combining AI, materials science, high-throughput experimentation and Self-Driving Laboratories to accelerate ceramic materials discovery.

You will develop AI/ML models for discovery and prediction, curate datasets, and collaborate with materials scientists to translate challenges into AI-driven solutions while

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant field.
• Strong experience in AI/ML or ceramics.
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn).
• Strong analytical and scientific communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply AI/ML models for ceramic materials discovery and property prediction.
• Build data-driven relationships between composition, processing, microstructure and properties.
• Collaborate with materials scientists to translate challenges into AI-driven solutions.
• Design experiments to validate AI predictions and improve model performance.
