Material Planning Engineer

Job summary

STMicroelectronics Singapore is seeking a Material Planner responsible for Fab material availability, maintaining material requirement and inventory models, and driving supply chain continuity to meet production schedules.

You will analyse BOM data, forecast demand, optimise inventory, and work with suppliers and internal teams. A Bachelor’s or Master’s in supply chain or related field with 2–5 years in semiconductors, SAP ERP experience, and proficiency in Excel/Power BI is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Operations Management, or equivalent.
• 2- 5 years of relevant working experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably in material planning, and production control, process engineering or equivalent.
• Extensive knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (SAP), and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel. Power Query, Power BI etc)
• Additional coding skills (e.g., Python, SQL, VBA) are a strong plus for automation and data analysis.
• Requires excellent coordination and organizing skills to manage multiple material suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• High level of multi-tasking and capability to prioritize material shortages to meet strict production schedules.
• Proficient in Business Communication and Written skills for vendor management and cross-functional alignment

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE

The Material Planner has responsibility for overall Fab Material Availability, maintaining the material requirement and inventory models, upholding the supply chain to prevent line-down situations, driving the team to meet inventory turn targets, and working on material optimization.

Your Skills & Experiences
