Job summary

Qualifications

  • PhD / Masters / Bachelor’s in Material Science / Mechanical Engineering / Physics or a related field.
  • Passion for R&D and problem solving.
  • Enjoys working as a team to plan and conduct experiments.
  • Experience with M&S tools such as COMSOL and/or MATLAB is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Multi-Physics Study on Laser-Thermal-Material Interaction effects.
  • Develop Modelling and Simulation (M&S) models using software tools such as COMSOL.
  • Design and conduct experiments to validate and refine M&S.
  • Perform sensitivity analysis with varying Laser and Material parameters.
  • Evaluate trade-offs in modelling approach and assumptions between simulation fidelity and computation speed.
  • Work with a multi-disciplinary team to evaluate simulation findings.
