Material Management & Procurement Specialist

You are a meticulous and proactive Material Management & Procurement Specialist responsible for ensuring efficient inventory control, procurement of materials, and vendor coordination. Your role is critical in maintaining optimal inventory levels, coordinating with warehouse and production teams, and sourcing essential materials in alignment with production schedules and quality standards. You will negotiate terms with suppliers, develop productive relationships, and oversee vendor quality assessments to ensure timely delivery of materials.Your key responsibilities include monitoring and maintaining optimal inventory levels through regular stock-taking, coordinating with warehouse and production teams, and sourcing essential materials. You will develop and maintain relationships with vendors, evaluate their performance, and ensure compliance with company standards. Anticipating material needs based on production forecasts, you will schedule material orders to avoid shortages and coordinate closely with production and planning teams for seamless material flow.Additionally, you will identify, assess, and onboard new suppliers to build a reliable supply chain, conduct vendor evaluations, and manage purchase orders for key materials. Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets for inventory tracking, data analysis, and reporting is required. Effective communication skills for vendor coordination and internal reporting, along with 1 to 5 years of experience in material management or procurement, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry, are essential. A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.Desired attributes for this role include strong analytical and planning skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams.
